Measurements
Azimuths run clockwise from north. Planes use dip direction / dip or right-hand-rule strike / dip. Lines use trend / plunge. Invalid rows stay visible and are excluded from figures.

BIENIAWSKI 1989 / DISCRETE RATINGS
Rock mass parameters
Favourability is assessed relative to the excavation geometry; it is not inferred from the stereonet. Slope adjustment is RMR89, not SMR or a stability analysis.

Stereonet and rose diagrams
Lower-hemisphere east/north/down vectors. Equal-area radius √(1 − sin plunge); equal-angle radius tan(45° − plunge/2). Right-hand-rule strike becomes dip direction +90°. Pole trend is dip direction +180°, plunge is 90° − dip. Great circles are sampled at 1° intervals.
Rose bins start at north and use [start, end). Axial measurements reduce modulo 180° and repeat across the opposite half; percentages divide by eligible measurements once. Petal radius is proportional to count, so petal area is not proportional to frequency. Plane strike is dip direction −90°. Lines are excluded from plane roses and planes from trend roses.
RMR89
Discrete category scores, not interpolated ratings. RQD thresholds are 25, 50, 75 and 90%, with an exact threshold assigned to the higher category. Other shared endpoints are explicitly resolved in the input labels. Groundwater uses observed conditions; intact strength uses UCS in MPa. No assumed UCS conversion from rebound or point-load measurements.
A negative raw total is retained in the report and the displayed classification score is floored at zero. Missing inputs do not produce a rock class. The five joint-condition scores sum to at most 30; the overall method replaces that sum.
